University’s Vice-Chancellor Professor Paul Greenfield said:

The Mines and Energy Minister, Geoff Wilson, has defended the decision to ban a planned $14 billion shale oil mine in north Queensland.

Researchers from University of Queensland’s CSRM have devised a new framework that enables a company to establish monitoring and reporting procedures for addressing sustainability issues throughout the life of the mine.
